Modern Ram trucks include a factory phone holder designed to keep phones accessible while using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. However, the holder was never designed to support modern magnetic wireless charging systems.

This adapter plate converts the factory phone holder into a secure mounting platform for Qi, Qi2, and Qi2.2 wireless charging pucks, allowing the holder to function as a practical wireless charging station.

Located directly above the truck’s 110V inverter, the factory holder provides an ideal location for powering high-performance wireless chargers while maintaining a clean OEM-style installation.

Designed for Modern Wireless Charging

Wireless charging technology has evolved rapidly.

Older vehicle charging systems rely on Qi1, which typically delivers only 5–7.5W of real-world charging power. This is often insufficient when running navigation, streaming music, or other demanding applications.

Newer standards such as Qi2 and Qi2.2 introduce magnetic alignment and higher charging output.

Qi2.2 supports up to 25W wireless charging, allowing phones to maintain charge even during heavy use.

This adapter plate allows Ram owners to utilize modern magnetic charging pucks and take advantage of these newer charging standards.

The adapter plate installs into the factory phone holder using a dual-angle retention hook design.

Two precision angles engage the rubber lip of the holder to secure the adapter plate without modifying the vehicle.
